Six rare loggerhead sea turtles were rescued and returned to their native habitat in the Azores after being found cold-stunned and washed up on the coasts of Cornwall and Devon. The turtles had been blown off course by a storm into colder waters. After rehabilitation at two marine sanctuaries, they were transported back to warmer seas aboard HMS Medway, a Royal Navy ship en route to the Caribbean for a patrol mission.
